Boston 25 Weather

More rain... and a little snow

ANOTHER NIGHT STORM

Count on dry weather through the daylight hours today. After a cooler start in the 30s, the afternoon will be mild and comfortable with highs close to 50 degrees. Clouds will increase from west to east during the second half of the day.

We’ll get through the evening commute dry, then showers will pass through overnight. Expect about 1/2″ rainfall. Most of the roads will be wet, but you’ll need to be careful for slippery travel overnight north and west of I-495 where a touch of ice or a patchy coating may develop. The mountains and ski country have the best chance for a few fresh inches of accumulation. The storm will be over before sunrise Thursday morning!

COLDEST WE’VE SEEN

Arctic air will arrive late week and this weekend, dropping temperatures significantly. Light snow is possible Friday with a patchy coating in the forecast. So far, the track for the main storm looks too far south to be a big player. Onshore winds may keep it a little too mild for sticking in coastal communities.

Bitter cold takes over this weekend and early next week.
