WARM WEEK
After a soggy start to the day, we’ll see big afternoon improvements. Clouds will linger for a good part of the morning in Boston as clearing skies inch from west to east. The afternoon will turn bright and mild with highs in the low to mid 70s.
Southeastern MA will take the longest to clear out, the Cape and Islands in particular where an onshore breeze will keep it much cooler in the 50s to lower 60s at most.
LOVELY STRETCH
Plan on sunshine all day Wednesday with highs near 70 inland and 60s at the coast.
Thursday will bring in some afternoon clouds. Late in the day there may be a few evening showers that last into Friday morning.
Friday should still be quite warm in the 70s. Right now most of the day looks dry with some rain early and late.
WEEKEND IN VIEW
The next widespread rain is expected Saturday with a front crossing the region. Clearing is expected Sunday, though how quickly it brightens up isn’t clear yet.
