Thanksgiving storm

SOGGY HOLIDAY

A storm will bring in rain, snow, and gusty wind to New England today. Expect widespread rain by 10 AM, so dress for chilly and soaking conditions for all local football games. Rainfall from 0.5-1.5″ is expected through the day, dwindling this evening. There may be a few slick spots in the Worcester Hills at the start and end of the storm, but the main area of snow will remain at elevations like the Berkshires, Monadnocks, Green and White Mountains. Southwestern NH and western MA will probably fall into the 1-3″ range with the highest peaks up to 6″. Snow will continue tonight in northern New England as we dry out in southern New England.

CHILLY SHOPPING

As temperatures drop tonight, we may finish with a few flurries and developing black ice. Watch for some slippery travel early tomorrow where temps are close to the freezing mark. Dress for chilly and bright weather if you’re hitting the shops. Highs Friday will only make it to the mid 40s.

The weekend and next week will remain dry and quiet with dropping temperatures.
