Boston 25 Weather

High heat on blast through Wednesday

NOW PLAYING ABOVE

WEATHER ALERT: DANGEROUS HEAT

We begin Tuesday on a weather alert as the heat is turned up another notch. With an abundance of sun, temps will rise quickly. We’ll see highs in the afternoon reach the 96-98 range across most of the area. This includes coastlines thanks to a westerly wind too! Feels-like temps will top off in the 100-103 range.

While we cool a little bit on Wednesday, remain on alert as temps remain in the 90s. It will feel like 97-100 degrees during the afternoon. There is a very low chance for an evening storm, but the threat for rain increases more on Thursday.

COLD FRONT BRINGS RAIN & RELIEF

We stay on alert on Thursday as well, except it’s the rain NOT the heat this time! Expect overcast skies and periods of rain during the day. A cold front will slow down as it crosses the state and this may lead to localized flooding where precip is particularly persistent. Areas to the south and east may be stuck with some showers into the early part of Friday as well.

Finally, Friday afternoon/evening through Sunday look excellent as we round off the week. Humidity drops, the sun returns, and highs remain closer to Labor Day averages in the upper 70s. Make some outdoor plans on these days and enjoy the nice weather!
