WARM WEEK
Sunshine will drive the forecast today and most of tomorrow with afternoon highs in the lower 70 inland and 60s at the coast. The Cape and Islands will be the coolest with some spots stuck in the 50s.
Thursday will bring in late clouds. An isolated shower may pass through overnight, or pop up Friday afternoon. Most communities will stay dry and partly sunny. Towns along the MA/NH border have the best chance locally for a brief watering.
WEEKEND IN VIEW
The next widespread rain is expected Saturday with a front crossing the region. I’ve added a weather alert for lasting showers all day. Rainfall totals will probably range from 0.5-1″.
It will dry out Saturday evening, but the clouds may be slow to erode from west to east Sunday. Even though Sunday’s forecast is dry and partly sunny, it will be quite windy with gusts 35-45 mph.
