SHOWERS COMING ON MONDAY

Monday will start off wet, with rain arriving as early as 6-8 AM. Most of the rainfall will occur during the morning hours, with the potential for a few weak thunderstorms embedded in the showers. By mid-afternoon, the rain should mostly taper off, and we’ll even see some breaks of sunshine. Temperatures will be a bit cooler than normal, with highs reaching the low to mid-60s. Grab the rain jacket on your way out the door, though you probably won’t need it for the trip home.

REAL FALL ARRIVES THIS WEEK!

The remainder of the week is going to bring beautiful, fall-like conditions. Tuesday through Friday will feature plenty of sunshine, though temperatures will be crisp and cool, staying in the low to mid-60s during the day. The nights will be chilly, with lows dipping into the low 40s, and even upper 30s in the valleys, hills, and parts of southern New Hampshire. A first frost is possible in some of these colder spots, which could finally take care of those lingering mosquitoes—good news for us! By the weekend, temperatures should bounce back to the upper 60s or low 70s with more sunshine.

Additionally, fall foliage is nearing its peak across the Berkshires and parts of the Worcester Hills, making it a great time for leaf peeping.

We’re also keeping an eye on Hurricane Milton, which is expected to make landfall in Florida as a major storm on Wednesday.
