Boston 25 Weather

Windy stretch with cooling temps

WEATHER ALERT THURSDAY

Gusts 45-55 mph, isolated up to 60 mph, have us on a Weather Alert today. We’re expecting pockets of wind damage and power outages as a result. Although highs will land near 40 degrees, the wind chill will run about 10 degrees below that.

Partly sunny and dry weather is expected for most. That strong wind may carry a band of lake effect snow all the way from Lake Ontario into western and central Massachusetts late this afternoon or evening. There is a slight chance for a dusting of snow in a few communities west of I-495 as a result with the highest chance for some minor accumulation in the Berkshires and western New England.

CHILLY WEEKEND AND BEYOND

Gusts Friday will range from 25-35 mph. We don’t need a Weather Alert, but get set for a blustery and chilly day. Temperatures will continue to drop this weekend with highs near the freezing mark.

A storm Sunday night to Monday is expected to miss us to the south, bringing snow from the Midwest to NJ and DC. It’s worth checking back on the forecast through the weekend as a small wobble north could bring light snow into southern New England. For now we don’t have any precipitation in the 7-day, but we’ll see freezing and breezy conditions linger through next week.
