Boston 25 Weather

Bitter cold vacation week

CHRISTMAS EVE

Light snow from a quick-hitting clipper system will move through during the morning. This will be a low-impact event in southern New England, with the best chance and 1-2″ across far northern MA and southern NH. Nonetheless, the roads will be cold and anything untreated could get slippery for a time. We’re only expecting a coating of snow in the Boston area, with a few rain showers likely the result on the Cape.

HOLIDAY WEEK

Clouds will break in the afternoon on Tuesday for some partial sun before sunset, leaving us with good weather for Christmas Eve services and dinners.

Christmas Day will start cold in the teens with afternoon highs in the 30s. The Cape may, again, see a few ocean-effect flurries. Since snow won’t be in a hurry to melt, many local towns will see a “White Christmas” with 1″ or more snow on the ground.

Conditions will gradually warm late week with highs back in the upper 30s to lower 40s this weekend.
