WARMING UP
It’s quite mild this morning with most communities in the 50s at daybreak. Early clouds will clear this afternoon. Count on bright, breezy, and warm weather as we climb to the lower 70s in the Boston area with upper 60s on the Cape.
Wednesday will be even warmer! As if now, we’re expecting upper 70s. If Boston gets to 80, it’ll be the latest date on record being that warm. Gusts 20-35 mph today, tonight, and tomorrow will continue to fuel brush fire concerns. There’s next to no rain in the forecast this week, so the recent dry stretch is only enhancing that threat.
TEMPERATURES COOL LATE WEEK
Temperatures will start to cool down slightly Thursday and Friday with highs settling back into the 60s. It will be pleasant, especially with the lighter winds expected. A stretch of sunny and dry weather will carry us into the weekend with more November-like 50s. Unfortunately, this doesn’t help our ongoing severe drought, which persists across a portion of Massachusetts.
The next chance for rain will arrive Sunday or Monday. And we need it.
