MID WEEK STORM
This storm will be a fairly quick mover, typical of clipper systems which move our way from Canada. A coating up to 3″ of snow will fall north and west of 128 with the highest totals at higher elevations where some spots northwest of Worcester could see 3-5″. Closer to the coast you’ll see snow and rain, but sticking will be difficult with temperatures expected to remain above freezing. I don’t want to rule out a grassy coating east of 128 into Boston, but roads will be generally wet in the city and southeastern MA. The storm will peak with snow and rain overnight through Thursday morning with a few rain and snow squalls lasting into the afternoon. The worst travel will be early Thursday for the commute.
It will turn windy and cold Thursday night to Friday with dry weather back on tap. Plan on another chilly weekend.
