BOSTON — A tractor trailer rollover caused I-90 Eastbound to close Sunday, according to the Boston Fire Department.

The rollover happened around 8:15 a.m. before the Allston tolls, shutting down the eastbound side and diverting drivers. One lane of the westbound side is closed.

Shortly before 12:30 p.m. Massachusetts State Police said that crews are still on scene cleaning up the mess. They added that three lanes of the eastbound side will “probably be closed for 1-2 more hours while the truck is upright and removed."

Mass. State Troopers have been diverting eastbound traffic around exit 28, police said.

A small fire was extinguished and a hazmat crew was called after approximately 100 gallons of diesel spilled. Boston Fire said that companies put absorbent on the road to stop the spread of the leak and that the remaining fuel was pumped out.

No injuries have been reported. Officials said to avoid this area.

This is a developing story. Stay tuned for updates.
