1. What is your favorite dessert?
Chocolate ice cream. Chocolate, chocolate, chocolate, chocolate! Although, when I was pregnant, it was strawberry ice cream all the way, and I don’t even like strawberry ice cream.
2. What is your favorite holiday?
Holiday? It’s sort of a tie between Thanksgiving and Christmas. ‘Cause I have my girls and they love to open presents, love Christmas, but Thanksgiving I love bringing the family together.
3. What is your favorite time of year?
Summer, I’m all about summer, gimme sand, gimme ocean, gimme water, sunshine, heat, humidity, curly hair, it’s all about summer.
4. Where is your favorite place to shop?
I am all about online these days. Like, not even a favorite store, it’s just about finding the best deal, but it’s all online because, I don’t know, not a fan of the shopping centers anymore, sorry.
5. What was your first concert?
Michael Jackson. It was a long time ago but it was one of the greatest concerts, went with my little sister and my dad, and we had the best time ever.
6. What is one thing that you cannot live without?
My phone! My phone, this is my life. My phone and my daughters.
7. What is the first thing that you do after work?
The first thing I do after work is I get home and I say hi to my husband, cause we don’t see each other that often, we’re on totally different schedules. And then I try to squeeze a workout in, but on these hours it’s sort of tough. Up at 2:30 a.m., hopefully make that noon Pure Barre class, but…
8. What is your favorite way to pass the time, is it the Pure Barre class?
Yeah, you know what, I love to squeeze in some exercise, I feel like it brings balance to my life. We’re all so busy with work and family that if I can squeeze that in, then it’s a beautiful thing.
9. What is your favorite story that you’ve ever covered?
I have a number of favorite stories, I think the most fun I’ve ever had on a story was covering American Idol and actually going out to L.A. for the finale, that was so much fun. And, I think some of the hardest stories, but also most rewarding was covering the Marathon Bombing, and being here every day, 24/7 for that story. And, one of the scariest stories that I covered was the Springfield tornado. I was three months pregnant at the time, and they sent me right after it happened and I went to the devastation, and then all of the sirens were going off and they thought another one was coming, and I just remember that there was just some sort of raw fear that I had, understandably, but I think that those are the three stories that sort of stood out.
10. What is your favorite thing about Boston?
Gosh, I love so many things about Boston, but I really… If I have family that comes to see me, I really love taking them downtown, to the Back Bay, to the Newbury Street area. It's just so beautiful, there's so much to do, so much to see, and then I also love the Cape and the Islands. I mean, we have so much to offer here, and Boston is just… I feel so lucky to be here.
