Electrical Engineer

THINK resources has an excellent opportunity for an Electrical Engineer in the Boston area. Ideal candidate will have experience working with new inverter and energy management system design within the power generation industry. This is a great location working with state of the art technology.

Responsibilities

* Perform as key technical contributor to new inverter and energy management system designs
* Will make overall system architecture trade-offs and decisions, understand the needs of the end-users as well as the capabilities and limitations of the technology
* Select inverter components and perform calculations necessary to make system design decisions, such as switching and resistive losses, harmonic distortion, stability, and controls bandwidth
* Specify component attributes, system architecture, controls architecture, and communicate ideas and specifications through the use of schematics and modeling
* Design circuit boards, from schematic capture through layout and prototyping

Requirements

* Minimum of BSEE. MSEE or PhD in power electronics is a plus
* Proficiency in schematic capture and electrical system modeling is a must
* Proficiency in software / firmware programming is a plus
* Minimum 3 years work experience in power electronics
* Must work well with others and have excellent communication skills, both verbal and written as candidate will perform a key role in system design as well as proposal contribution and inter-engineering interface
