After Carl Yastrzemski took the mound to throw the ceremonial first pitch before Game 1 of the World Series, the Red Sox decided to bring in a group of "idiots" to bring some extra luck for Game 2.

The 2004 Red Sox, notorious for breaking the 86-year World Series drought the team suffered through, took the field at Fenway Park Wednesday night, ready to get Game 2 off on the right foot.

The group, consisting of David Ortiz, Kevin Millar, Pedro Martinez, Tim Wakefield, Alan Embree, Keith Foulke, and Jason Varitek, all tested out their arms before the game, even getting Dodgers manager Dave Roberts out on the field for some hugs with his historic teammates.

The Red Sox made sure to stay true to history, letting everyone know that a bunch of "idiots" from 2004 made an appearance Wednesday night, sticking to their motto from that season.
