BOSTON — The Boston Bruins fell to the St. Louis Blues in Game 5 of the Stanley Cup Final despite a late rally in the third period. The Blues claimed their second road victory of the series, downing Boston, 2-1. The win gives St. Louis a 3-2 series lead and moves the Blues a win away from their first Stanley Cup in franchise history.

"The narrative changed after game 3 it was a complain put forth by the opposition and it just seems to have changed everything. The non-call on Acciari....it was blatant, big effect on the game." #NHLBruins #StanleyCup pic.twitter.com/s1s30su2s1
Ryan O'Reilly opened the scoring in the second period, backhanding a shot past Tuukka Rask in the period’s opening minute. David Perron added a second goal for the Blues in the third, sending a shot in through Rask’s pads.
Perron’s goal came with some controversy as Boston’s Noel Acciari appeared to be tripped by St. Louis forward Tyler Bozak seconds before the goal. The incident went uncalled, however, and the Blues doubled their lead.
Question: What was being said on the bench after the missed call on Acciari?

Cassidy: "What was being said was you missed an F'N call is what was being said on the bench for obvious reasons." #NHLbruins pic.twitter.com/Q3S03EkE4e
Boston's Jake DeBrusk halved the deficit with a one-timer from the right face-off circle, but the Bruins were unable to find the equalizer in the waning minutes of the contest.
Game 6 is slated for Sunday at 8 p.m. in St. Louis
PREVIOUS: Blues score twice in the third to even the series
Boston, the champions of the Eastern Conference, reached their third Stanley Cup Final in nine seasons after sweeping the Carolina Hurricanes in the Conference Finals. Conversely, St. Louis appears in the championship round for the first time in 49 years after defeating the San Jose Sharks in six games in the Western Conference Finals.
This series is the second time the two squads square off with the Stanley Cup on the line. The first came in 1970 - the last time the Blues played in the final round - when Boston won the series four games to none.
