BOSTON — The Boston Red Sox have sent struggling catcher Christian Vasquez to Triple-A Pawtucket. The moves comes less than an hour after the teams 12-5 victory over the Texas Ranges where recent call up Sandy Leon went 4-5 with three doubles.
Leon has been hot since being called up and is currently batting .500.
With backup catcher Ryan Hanigan ready to come back from injury, the Sox needed to make room on the roster for his return.
