NORFOLK, Mass. — Marcia Haigh is you, she is me, she is anyone who never thought they could run the Boston Marathon. Marcia's story may change your tune.
The 54-year-old mother of three works as a nurse in two different hospitals and is running her first marathon to raise money for Newton-Wellesley Hospital.
Haigh said she's running "in honor of all the people in my life that have been touched by cancer: My family, friends, friends of friends, my oncology massage clients, and all the caregivers and their supportive families."
Her goal is to raise $5,500 for the MGH Cancer Center at Newton Wellesley Hospital. To donate, visit this link.
