Patriots wide receiver Cordarrelle Patterson will be facing off against his former team this week, when the Minnesota Vikings travel to play the Patriots.

This is Patterson’s third team in his six seasons in the NFL. He played four with the Vikings to start, followed by one with the Raiders, and is now playing for the Patriots

Vikings head coach Mike Zimmer had nothing but great things to say about the versatile player in a press conference Wednesday

“Everybody knew Cordarrelle was an outstanding athlete, strong runner, great when he had the ball in his hands," Zimmer said. "We probably could have done a better job when we had him, after watching them. They’re doing really good with him.”

Zimmer also gave credit to the whole Patriots offense, by calling them “the best play-action offense in the NFL.” which has been a perfect fit for Patterson.

“He’s an exceptional hard runner that can make a lot of big plays. He can make guys miss. He gets a lot of yards after contact,” said Zimmer. “We obviously knew how talented he was here as well, but we didn’t get him the ball enough maybe in a lot of those ways that they’re using him. I’m going to put that in the back of mind if we ever get a guy like this again, or a guy like that again, that we can use him in much better ways.”
