Red Sox even up ALCS with Game 2 win over Astros

After a lackluster performance in Game 1 of the American League Championship Series, the Red Sox looked to bounce back as they battled the Astros in Game 2 Sunday night.

David Price took the mound for the Red Sox, looking to buck his reputation for his previous postseason performances.

10:57 p.m.: RED SOX WIN! Craig Kimbrel closes it out to even the series up at 1-1.

10:54 p.m.: Jose Altuve drives in a run to make it 7-5 Red Sox.

10:45 p.m.: Craig Kimbrel takes the mound for the Red Sox in a 7-4 game in the top of the ninth, looking to close things out.

10:39 p.m.: Mookie Betts drives in another run in the bottom of the eighth inning to make it 7-4 Red Sox, with runners on second and third with two outs.

10:08 p.m.: The Red Sox get an insurance run after Mookie Betts earns a walk, advances on a wild pitch and two passed balls to make it 6-4 in the seventh.

9:35 p.m.: The Red Sox announced Chris Sale was admitted to the hospital after reporting a stomach illness on Sunday.

9:02 p.m.: Matt Barnes takes over on the mound for the Red Sox with two outs and two runners on in the fifth inning.

8:30 p.m.: Jackie Bradley Jr. drives in all three runners on base with a double off the Green Monster to make it a 5-4 Red Sox lead.

8:13 p.m.: Marwin Gonzalez smacks a two-run home run to make it 4-2 Astros in the third inning.

7:51 p.m.: George Springer bloops one to right field, good enough for a double to drive in two and tie it up at 2-2 in the second inning.

7:35 p.m.: A Rafael Devers single with the bases loaded adds another run for the Red Sox in the first inning, giving them a 2-0 lead early on.

7:28 p.m.: Andrew Benintendi gets the Red Sox on the board, driving in Mookie Betts quickly in the bottom half of the first to make it 1-0 Red Sox.

7:20 p.m.: David Price gets through the top half of the first inning, finishing things off with a clutch strikeout to send the Red Sox to the plate.

7:09 p.m.: David Price takes the mound for the Red Sox, looking to break an 0-9 stretch when it comes to postseason starts.
