Patriots come up big with win over Jets on the road

After a huge loss against the Titans before their bye week, the Patriots were back on the field and looking to get back to their winning ways as they took on the Jets on the road.

After a week of appearances on the injury report and an absence from practice Friday, Tom Brady was active, alongside Rob Gronkowski and Sony Michel to round out a healthy group of starters.

As the Patriots' starters took the field at full strength, the Jets were without their starting quarterback as Josh McCown replaced Sam Darnold under center.

UPDATES:

4:00 p.m.: The Patriots win 27-13 over the Jets on the road.

3:57 p.m.: The Patriots come up with a big stop with 1:52 to go on 4th and 2, getting the ball back deep in their own territory with a 27-13 lead.

3:34 p.m.: Sony Michel drives it in to extend the Patriots lead, making it a 27-13 game with just under nine minutes to go in the fourth quarter.

3:10 p.m.: The Patriots end the field goal trend with a definitive answer, as Tom Brady finds Julian Edelman for a touchdown late in the third quarter to take a 20-13 lead.

The touchdown was just Edelman's second career touchdown against the Jets.

3:06 p.m.: Anything the Patriots can do, the Jets prove they can, as well. Another field goal ties it up at 13-13 on the Jets' next drive.

2:53 p.m.: The Patriots add another field goal to the box score, with Stephen Gostkowski giving them a 13-10 lead to open up the second half.

2:37 p.m.: Heading into halftime, we're all tied up at 10-10 as the Jets even things up at the end of the second quarter with a field goal.

2:09 p.m.: Stephen Gostkowski nails a 34-yard field goal to give the Patriots a 10-7 lead late in the first half.

1:34 p.m.: The Jets give the Patriots another shot after an offensive pass interference on James White, and the Patriots take advantage of it. Tom Brady finds Rob Gronkowski to tie things up at 7 on third down.

1:25 p.m.: Josh McCown hooks up with Jermaine Kearse to get the Jets on the board, making it 7-0 over the Patriots in the first quarter.

1 p.m.: The Jets start off with the ball, as Stephen Gostkowski kicks things off in this Week 12 matchup.

11:31 a.m.: Tom Brady, Rob Gronkowski and Sony Michel are all active, with kickoff set for 1 p.m.
