Patriots take down Bills in Monday Night Football matchup

The Patriots took on the Bills on Monday night in an AFC East matchup, with the Patriots looking to keep up the offensive pace they've set over the last few games.

After last week's close game against the Bears, the Patriots were without another large part of their running game as Sony Michel sat out with a knee injury.

In the end, the Patriots came out on top with a 25-6 win to win the AFC East battle and improve to 6-2.

LIVE UPDATES: 

11:29 p.m.: Patriots wrap it up, beating the Bills 25-6 to improve to 6-2.

11:07 p.m.: After a Bills touchdown was called back, an 85-yard pick six from Devin McCourty with 5:54 to go in the game may be the dagger for the Patriots as they take a 25-6 lead.

10:50 p.m.: A 1-yard rushing touchdown for James White gives the Patriots some breathing room, with a failed two-point conversion keeping it an 18-6 Patriots lead.

10:34 p.m.: No touchdowns allowed in this one, as another Stephen Gostkowski field goal makes it a 12-6 game in the third quarter.

10:28 p.m.: Patrick Chung recovers a Derek Anderson fumble off of a Kyle Van Noy strip sack to give the Patriots the ball deep in Bills territory.

10:15 p.m.: A 51-yard field goal adds onto the scoring in this one for the Bills, making it a 9-6 Patriots lead.

9:45 p.m.: The Patriots and Bills head into the half in a one-possession game, with the Patriots winning 9-3 going into the third quarter.

9:36 p.m.: The Bills join the field goal party, cutting into the Patriots lead with a 47-yard field goal to make it 9-3 with 1:39 to go in the half.

9:22 p.m.: And another Patriots field goal from Gostkowski makes it 9-0 as the second quarter nears its end.

9:04 p.m.: A 40-yard field goal from Stephen Gostkowski makes it 6-0 Patriots in the second quarter.

8:59 p.m.: As the second quarter gets underway, Chris Hogan gets into the action with a big gain to start the second frame, with the Patriots still up 3-0 on the Bills.

8:40 p.m.: The Patriots take an early 3-0 lead on a field goal from Stephen Gostkowski with just over four minutes to go in the first quarter.

8:34 p.m.: Tom Brady with a pivotal block on a Julian Edelman reverse keeps the Patriots drive alive, followed up by a first down on a pass from Brady to James White to get into the red zone.

8:15 p.m.: The Patriots get the ball first, with Josh Gordon getting the start despite reports that he would be disciplined during the game. Cordarrelle Patterson also gets a rep at running back to start the game.

6:46 p.m.: Dont'a Hightower stands out as a part of the Patriots' inactives list for Monday night's game against the Bills, with key pieces like Sony Michel and Marcus Cannon also listed as inactive.

4:56 p.m.: The Patriots are reportedly disciplining wide receiver Josh Gordon for Monday night's game against the Bills because of tardiness, according to Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network.

Rapoport said Gordon is expected to be kept off of the field for multiple offensive series, likely totaling about a quarter.

After the discipline is done, Rapoport said Gordon is expected to be back to getting his normal reps for the rest of the game.
