BOSTON — Bruins forward Brad Marchand has earned NHL All-Star honors for the second straight year.

Barring a substitution or replacement, Marchand will be the only player representing the Bruins in Tampa during All-Star Weekend.

Marchand has scored 17 goals and also has 23 assists, totaling 40 points, which leads the team. He's recorded at least one point in 23 of his 32 appearances this season.

"Initially, I was a little shocked," said Marchand. "We have some great teammates that deserve to be there, and I expected them to be there. Very, very honored, very excited to be given the opportunity, and very proud to be part of this game again."
