Boston College basketball programs pause, remain in COVID-19 protocols, school says

BOSTON — Out of an abundance of caution, Boston College has temporarily suspended all team activities for the men’s and women’s basketball programs.

“Both programs remain in COVID protocols, resulting in the postponement of the upcoming games,” said Jason Baum, senior associate athletics director at BC.

“We are adhering to the outlined protocols within the ACC Medical Advisory Group report,” Baum said.

Boston College is a member of the Atlantic Coast Conference, which announced on Friday that numerous women’s basketball games have been postponed and changed.

BC’s women’s basketball was originally scheduled to host Pitt on Jan. 24 and Florida State on Jan. 28, both of which are postponed.
