The World Series trophy has made its way throughout New England over the last week since the Red Sox took home the title, but it may not get better for Alex Cora than it did on Saturday in his hometown.

The team showcased the trophy at a parade Wednesday and at the Celtics game against the Milwaukee Bucks on Thursday night, and followed that up with news that Cora and members of the team would head to Puerto Rico on Saturday.

Of course, the team made their way to Cora's hometown of Caguas with some special hardware, safely making its way onto the plane after a busy week.

The Red Sox posted video of Cora celebrating with the trophy in his hometown, with a hero's welcome as the team arrived in Puerto Rico.

Cora also received a plaque for his return home, giving him some extra hardware to bring back to Boston.

Eduardo Rodriguez and Christian Vazquez were among those to make the journey, along with Red Sox president and CEO Sam Kennedy and Red Sox owner Tom Werner.
