NORTH ANDOVER, Mass. — The work the men and women in the Fire Service do every day is incredible and can be extremely taxing, emotionally and physically. Having a facility that feels like home to come back to after calls can make all the difference.
After nearly 100 years in the same building built for the horses, the North Andover Fire Department recently moved into a new facility. The firefighters are now able to come back to a newer, more comfortable, and more practical facility. The move improved some areas, like the living quarters, and added new features, like a decontamination room and workout room. The first responders are able to relieve stress and maintain their fitness, both of which result in better job performance.
The new space in North Andover also offers a morale boost, and serves as a true home away from home for our heroic firefighters. Thanks again for all that you do!
