WORCESTER, Mass. — A suspicious death investigation is underway after a body was found inside a van in Worcester.
Sky25 flew over the active scene Wednesday afternoon where police say a body was found in a van in a tow lot on Park Avenue. Worcester Police say the van was towed to Early's from a Park Avenue shopping plaza less than a half mile away.

Boston 25 News reporter Ted Daniel has learned someone at the plaza reported that the vehicle had been abandoned there and they wanted it removed.
According to police radio calls, a tow operator noticed a foul odor coming from the van and a lot of flies.
We have also learned the body was found stuffed inside a container in the van and officials say it appears it had been there for a while.

The investigation is ongoing. An autopsy is scheduled to determine the cause of death.
