WORCESTER, Mass. — The Worcester Fire Department fought another multi-alarm fire Wednesday morning, just hours after one of their own died battling an overnight blaze.
Worcester Fire Lieutenant Jason Menard died Wednesday fighting a four-alarm fire on Stockholm Street after he returned to help a trapped firefighter out a window.
Hours later and just after a procession to bring Menard's body to Boston, Worcester firefighters responded to a working fire at a business on Pleasant Street.

The Tatnuck Pet Supply store posted on its Facebook page that it is closed due to a fire in their building. The post says that everyone is safe. It's unclear if that is where the fire originated.
Menard's death marks the ninth Worcester firefighter to have died in the line of duty in the past 20 years.
