Woman rescued after car plunges into Hopedale pond

HOPEDALE, Mass. — A woman was rescued after her car plunged into a pond on Friday night in Hopedale.

Fire officials responded to Spindleville Pond for a report of a vehicle in the water. On arrival, crews spotted a woman sitting on the roof of her car that was partially submerged in the pond.

The victim was removed by fire personnel and transported to Milford Regional Technical Center with non life threatening injuries.

The cause of the crash is under investigation.
