COHASSET, Mass. — A whale washed up on a beach in Cohasset on Sunday morning, according to Cohasset Police.
The department posted on Twitter that they were on scene after a whale calf had washed up around Atlantic Avenue.

Police notified the New England Aquarium, who said the species wasn't immediately known.

The New England Aquarium said they had staff on scene, working to secure the whale before a potential necropsy on Monday.
