Wedding bells ring for Boston Marathon survivor

BOSTON (AP) - An injured survivor of the Boston Marathon bombing is celebrating a personal milestone.

Marc Fucarile married his longtime fiancee, Jennifer Regan, at Fenway Park on Thursday.

Fucarile lost his right leg and suffered other serious injuries in last year's attack. The 35-year-old Stoneham native, who now lives in Reading, was the last victim to be discharged from Massachusetts General Hospital.

Fucarile and Regan, who have a 6-year-old son Gavin, had put their wedding plans on hold for several months while he recovered from his injuries.

The couple, in a recent interview with the Associated Press, said they chose to get married this week in part to deflect any emotional toll from the bombing anniversary.

They hope to take a honeymoon next winter. On Thursday, they took a Boston Duck Tours ride with their wedding party.
