PENACOOK, N.H. — An unidentified body was pulled from the Contoocook River in Penacook, N.H. on Sunday afternoon.
So far, police have only identified the person as a middle aged white man.
The body was found by a Good Samaritan who notified first responders.
He was recovered in shallow water, and was pronounced dead at the scene. An autopsy will be performed on Monday, July 9.

The person was found wearing a pair of red and black swim trunks and a gray sleeveless shirt. He has an American flag tattoo on his right bicep, a blue colored tattoo possibly with names under it on the left bicep and was wearing a red bracelet with the words "In Memory of Papa Weed."
This incident marks the tenth drowning in the area just this week.
