ROANE COUNTY, W.Va. — A West Virginia man is facing 315 charges for alleged sexual assault of a juvenile relative for six years, according to a criminal complaint.
Billie Gene Seabolt, 65, of Clendenin, was arrested Wednesday, WOWK reported. He was charged with one count of sexual abuse by a custodian or guardian, first-degree sexual assault and 312 counts of incest, the television station reported. The 312 counts represent one count for each week during the past six years.
Troopers interviewed a juvenile who allegedly said “things of a sexual nature” were taking place at Seabolt’s home, according to the criminal complaint.
The trooper contacted the Woman’s and Children’s Advocacy Center for a forensic interview, WOWK reported. The criminal complaint states that during that interview, the juvenile allegedly claimed Seabolt had sexually assaulted her at least once a week from 2014 to 2017 and then again after 2018.
The trooper then went to Seabolt’s home and arrested him, WOWK reported.
Seabolt is being held in the Central Regional Jail on a $1 million bond, the television station reported.
