Stephanie McMahon is taking a break from the squared circle.
McMahon, 45, the chief brand officer of WWE since 2013 and the daughter of organization CEO Vince McMahon, said she was stepping away from the job -- for now -- to focus on her family.
“As of (Friday), I am taking a leave of absence from the majority of my responsibilities at WWE,” Stephanie McMahon wrote on Twitter. “WWE is a lifelong legacy for me and I look forward to returning to the company that I love after taking this time to focus on my family.”

Vince McMahon will be the only family member with an active role in the company. Stephanie McMahon’s brother, Shane McMahon, stepped down as an executive in 2010, according to People. Shane McMahon was released from WWE earlier this year, according to CBS Sports.
Stephanie McMahon has been with WWE since 2000 and was promoted to executive vice president of creative writing in 2007, People reported. After becoming the organization’s chief brand officer, she was instrumental in helping to launch the WWE Network in 2014, Us Weekly reported.
She also figured in many of the promotion’s story lines with her father and husband, “feuding” with WWE newcomers such as former mixed martial arts star Ronda Rousey.

She married WWE star Paul “Triple H” Levesque in 2003, and they have three daughters -- Aurora Rose Levesque, 15; Murphy Claire Levesque, 13; and Vaughn Evelyn Levesque, 11, People reported.
Paul Levesque, 52, announced his retirement in late March during ESPN’s First Take show. The WWE’s executive vice president announced he was leaving the ring after having cardiac surgery in September 2021.
