SACRAMENTO, Calif. — A California mother claims her three children were expelled from a Catholic school because she sells adult content online.
Crystal Jackson, 44, of Sacramento, said she heard from Sacred Heart Parish School that her three sons were no longer allowed to attend the private school, KCRA reported.
Jackson said her account on the adult site OnlyFans started as a way to rekindle her marriage and had no bearing on her children.
“It started as marriage fun,” Jackson told KCRA. “I went through menopause early and I was just like, wanting to have that connection with my husband again.”
Jackson said her foray into adult content began with a post on Reddit, which suggested it was a way to spice up her relationship with her husband, Chris Jackson.
“Someone was like, ‘Hey, why don’t you start an OnlyFans?’” Crystal Jackson told KOVR. “We’re like, ‘What the heck is that?’”
More than a year later, Crystal Jackson is known online as Mrs. Poindexter and is making up to $150,000 per month through subscriptions, which give paying users access to photos and videos, some of which include nudity, the television station reported.
In their first month on the site, the couple made $15,000, KCRA reported. The following month, their income grew by 30%.
“Some of our most popular pictures are of her in a grocery store,” Chris Jackson told the television station. “It’s the branding of … ‘the mom next door.’”
Crystal Jackson’s OnlyFans account teases that she is “Your modest and reserved real neighbor mom.”
On Instagram, Jackson has more than 539,000 followers and bills herself as “an average mom,” “secret hot wife and internet model.”
“Now it’s kind of like we got caught, here is our secret life exposed,” Crystal Jackson told KOVR.
The Jacksons’ case is similar to that of Linda Janack, a Michigan elementary school teacher who in 2018 was discovered to have been running an adult website with her husband. The following year, a Texas substitute teacher was fired after allegedly filming adult videos in a classroom.
Theresa Sparks, the principal at Sacred Heart, said in a written statement to KCRA that she could not comment on the Jacksons or the expulsion of their children.
“We cannot discuss the status or circumstances of any member of our school or parish community,” Sparks wrote.
Crystal Jackson said that last summer, a group of mothers found out about her site and began a campaign to have her children expelled, KOVR reported. Jackson alleged that the group sent anonymous envelopes that included her explicit content to the diocese and Sparks.
“They wanted my kids removed, who are innocent to this whole thing,” Crystal Jackson told the television station.
“It’s tough to find the Christianity here, and that makes me sad,” Chris Jackson told KCRA. “The church we were married at. The church all our children were baptized at. And, is this what it is?”
Crystal Jackson said she will continue to post on her OnlyFans account. The family is looking for a new school for the children, and the couple is asking that their former school community curb their judgment.
“I’m still the same Crystal I was, like, two years ago, a year ago when we had coffee before you knew this,” she told KCRA. “Now you just are judging me.”
