PLANO, Texas — Toyota issued a safety recall for approximately 227,400 Camry vehicles for model year 2018-2019.
The recall is because the sedans can suddenly lose power assist in the brake system, The Associated Press reported.
In a statement, Toyota said the issue is caused by some parts of the system wearing prematurely. Even if the power assist fails, the brakes will still work.
Owners of the impacted cars will be notified in January to take their cars to a Toyota dealer to repair the problem.
Toyota has a tool that allows you to check for any recalls on Toyota, Lexus and Scion cars here.
