CLEARWATER, Florida — A man was arrested in Clearwater, Florida on Sunday after allegedly admitting to burying his father’s dog alive and laughing about it.
Clearwater Police say Tyler Crevasse, 33, was arrested after he allegedly admitted to officers that he buried his father’s dog, Fuzzy, an older poodle mix, in the backyard. Crevasse allegedly told them that he wrapped the dog in a wet blanket and then buried him.
WFLA says Fuzzy was about 18 years old. In court records that WFLA obtained, Crevasse admitted to investigators that he had killed the dog two days prior and that the dog was allegedly still alive when he wrapped it up in a towel and buried him. Crevasse told investigators that he buried the dog because it was old and believed it was already dying. The records also indicated that he laughed when he told the investigators about the incident.
Police say after his father confronted him about what he did to the dog, Crevasse allegedly attacked him.
WFLA says Crevasse told investigators where he buried the dog and they were able to find him. Crevasse has been booked on recommended charges of domestic battery and animal cruelty.
