The Upper Providence Township Police Department posted photos of the ring on its Facebook Page, describing the situation as a “cold case” after the wedding ring was found at a convenience store.

The wedding band was found at a Wawa and is inscribed with two sets of initials and the date Oct. 2, 1948, KYW-TV reported.

Police have asked anyone who believes the ring might belong to them to call them. In order to close the “cold case file,” police warn whoever claims the ring will have to provide the correct initials, WCAU reported.
