It’s not every day you meet a real life superhero. But meet Carl Chin. When he saw a woman throw her newborn and 2 yr. old out of a window & try to bludgeon the baby, he leapt over a fence, rescued the baby, and calmed the mom down until help arrived. The 24-year-old woman then leaped naked from the building, WABC reported.
Carl Chin, whose apartment window faces the alley where the children were thrown, at first thought the incident was an accident.
“I was sitting in my bedroom and first I heard a baby crying and then we heard a loud thunk, like a body hit the ground,” Chin told WNBC. “After (the mom) landed and fell on the floor, she got up and picked the baby up by the leg and dropped her at least two times. So I jumped over the fence and basically wrestled with her to get the child.”
The condition of the toddler and the woman were described as stable, WPIX reported.
It was not clear what led to the incident, police said.
