The Powerball jackpot rose into the top 10 in the promotion’s history as there were no winners in Saturday night’s drawing.
The jackpot will be an estimated $613 million for the next drawing on Monday night.
The winning numbers Saturday night were 2, 18, 23, 27 and 47, and the Powerball number was 15. The Power Play multiplier was 4X.
Heading into Saturday’s drawing, the jackpot stood at $572 million. Now, at an estimated $613 million -- with a lump sum payment of $329 million -- the latest top prize is now No. 9 on the list of Powerball jackpots.
The largest Powerball prize -- and largest lottery jackpot -- soared to $2.04 billion in November. The jackpot was an estimated $1.9 billion before the drawing, but lottery ticket sales helped it grow to more than $2 billion. A single ticket purchased in California won the grand prize. It was sold at Joe’s Service Center in Altadena.
That winner has yet to claim the huge prize.
According to Powerball.com, players have a 1 in 292.2 million chance to match all six numbers. Prizes range from $2 to the grand prize jackpot.
