REED CITY, Mich. — A Michigan man is accused of stabbing a 3-year-old girl six times earlier this week, authorities said.
Isaac Brant Wilkinson, 18, of Evart, was charged with first-degree child abuse, first-degree child abuse committed in the presence of another child, torture, assault with intent to murder, assault with intent to do great bodily harm less than murder, and assault with a dangerous weapon, Cadillac News reported.
Wilkinson was arrested Monday after authorities found the toddler suffering from multiple stab wounds, WWUP reported.

Wilkinson remains in the Osceola County Jail, with bail set at $500,000. The Pioneer of Big Rapids reported.
If convicted on the child abuse, torture and assault with intent to murder charges, Wilkinson faces up to life in prison, according to the News.
According to the Osceola County Sheriff’s Office’s Facebook page, deputies received a 911 call at about 4:14 p.m. Monday in Evart about a stabbing. Deputies, upon finding the toddler injured, had the child transported from the scene to Grand Rapids to undergo surgery.
After an investigation by the sheriff’s office and the Michigan State Police, a man, later identified as Wilkinson, was arrested, according to the Facebook post. The sheriff’s office said the incident was isolated and there was “no danger to the general public.”
Osceola County Prosecutor Tony Badovinac told the News that Wilkinson was babysitting the child.
