Allen, 59, was in Florida for a show at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel and Casino. According to a police report obtained by WSVN, Allen was staying at the Four Seasons on Fort Lauderdale Beach when he was reportedly attacked by Max Edward Hartley, 19, who was in town from Ohio.

The police report said Allen was injured during the attack, Rolling Stone reported.

Fort Lauderdale Police Department said Hartley hid behind a pole outside the Four Seasons as Allen went outside to smoke. Hartley allegedly ran at Allen and knocked him to the ground, according to the news outlet.

A woman who witnessed the attack attempted to intervene, the Sun-Sentinel reported. She was attacked, as well, according to the report. Police say she tried to enter the hotel but Hartley reportedly pulled her out by her hair.

He then ran from the area but was arrested at a nearby Conrad hotel parking lot, according to People Magazine.

Hartley also allegedly damaged multiple cars in the hotel’s parking garage, according to a police report obtained by Rolling Stone.

Allen reportedly provided police with a sworn statement that he wants to prosecute Hartley, WSVN reported.

Hartley was bailed out of jail on Tuesday. He has been charged with two counts of battery, four counts of criminal mischief, and abusing an elderly or disabled adult, WSVN reported. Allen has one arm due to a car accident in 1984, according to Rolling Stone.

Allen’s reps have not responded to Rolling Stone for comment.
