The options for same-day coronavirus inoculation are expanding.
Pharmacies at all Publix grocery store locations will now accept walk-in patients who want to get a coronavirus vaccination.
Anyone at least 18 years old can choose either the Moderna or the Johnson & Johnson vaccine, depending on availability. Those who choose the Moderna shot will be given an appointment for a second dose. The Johnson & Johnson vaccine only requires a single shot.
>> CVS, Walgreens, Rite-Aid to offer walk-up or same-day COVID-19 vaccines
Publix joins CVS, Walgreens and Rite-Aid in offering the same day shots.
Although the pace of vaccination is slowing, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention said almost one third of the U.S. population is fully vaccinated, the Wall Street Journal reported.
2.5 million shots. 2.5 million steps forward. You've helped us administer over 2.5 million vaccine doses so that we can come together and protect our communities. Thank you for doing your part. We’ll keep doing ours. 🩹💚 pic.twitter.com/ABvX5bCpLQ
