People with cabin fever in southern Nevada now have the option to get out and dance -- at an acceptable social distance.

“In It Together SNV,” a group organized by the Clark County Parks & Recreation Department, has organized driveway dance parties -- complete with a disc jockey and a public address system -- for people to stay connected during the coronavirus pandemic, KSNV reported.

Residents can sign up at the In It Together SNV website to host a dance party in their neighborhood. Clark County will then send a time when the van will venture into the neighborhood and play a few songs before moving to another area, KNSV reported.

County officials said they would try to visit as many neighborhoods as possible, but will give priority to people who live on the same street or in adjoining streets. Song requests are welcome, but residents must remain in their yards and practice at least 6 feet of social distancing, the television station reported.
