“Big Bang Theory” and part-time “Jeopardy!” host Mayim Bialik said she has tested positive for COVID-19 and said she is feeling better after an “exhausting” battle with the virus.
Bialik, 46, posted a video on her Instagram account on Monday about her diagnosis and the challenges she has been facing, USA Today reported.
“I have COVID and it’s no joke over here,” Bialik wrote. “It’s very exhausting, the exhaustion is very special. I had mononucleosis when I was in college and the exhaustion hits like that, where you cannot be awake. You can try to be awake but then all of a sudden you need to sleep.”
Bialik added that she is not surprised that she contracted the virus, even though she had received her shots and boosters.
“No one said that you wouldn’t get COVID if you were vaccinated and boosted,” Bialik said in her video. “That’s totally clear.”
Bilaik also said she now has a “new level of anxiety about going out” after testing positive.
“I feel guilty that I went out,” Bialik said in her video. “I feel sad, and I’m just worried about the world again and our health in the world.”
Bialik’s announcement comes nearly a week after she filed a lawsuit in a Florida federal court seeking damages against companies she claimed were using her name and image to create the impression she is endorsing their CBD products.
In the lawsuit filed Thursday, Bialik, 46, was seeking damages against 32 unnamed companies, many based in the Dominican Republic, France or India, the Miami Herald reported.
