The Consumer Product Safety Commission and Honda have announced a recall concerning some of Honda's portable generators.
The generators in question can leak gas from the fuel valve. The leak poses a fire and burn hazard.

About 200,000 generators are covered by the recall, according to the CPSC. They were sold with either a red or a camouflage cover. They were sold from February 2018 through February 2019 at home improvement stores and online.
The models recalled are:
- EB2200iTA, starting serial number EAJT-1000001, ending serial number EAJT-1005474.
- EU2200iTA, starting serial number EAMT-1000001, ending serial number EAMT-1260796.
- EU2200iTA1, starting serial number EAMT-1000001, ending serial number EAMT-1260796.
- EU2200iTA2, starting serial number EAMT-1000001, ending serial number EAMT-1260796.
If you have one of the affected generators, you're being told to stop using it and contact a Honda Power Equipment service dealer to get a free repair. The company is reaching out to all known owners.
