The niece of music and reality television stars Toni and Tamar Braxton has died.
Lauren Braxton, the daughter of Michael Braxton Jr., the only son of the Braxton siblings, died Monday in Maryland at age 24, according to TMZ. Michael Braxton told the publication her death was related to a heart condition.
TMZ reported that, according to unnamed sources, law enforcement received a 911 call around noon Monday. When they arrived, Lauren Braxton was unresponsive and pronounced dead by paramedics, the tabloid site said.
RadarOnline reported that the Chief Medical Examiner's Office in Maryland confirmed to them that she died Monday.
Trina Braxton, one of Lauren Braxton's aunts, took to Instagram to mourn her loss, Ebony reported.
“God sent me another angel! Rest in Heaven Lauren ‘LoLo’ Braxton,” she captioned her post.
Toni Braxton also mourned her niece's death on social media. Her representative, Maureen O'Connor, confirmed the death to USA Today.
Lauren Braxton is also the niece of Traci and Towanda Braxton, who star with Toni, Trina and Tamar Braxton in the WE-tv reality show, “Braxton Family Values.”
"We ask that you respect the family's privacy in their time of sadness and loss," the Braxton family said in a statement, according to USA Today.
