Police believe Chambers attacked the pair and a second daughter, Shanalee Chambers, 29, with a machete at their Miami Gardens apartment Saturday, the station reported. The elder daughter was hurt but survived the attack, authorities said.

Harris, who died days before her 49th birthday, recently had told Chambers that she wanted a divorce, WTVJ reported.

Chambers, who was charged with two counts of first-degree murder and one count of first-degree attempted murder, is being held without bond, according to the Miami-Dade Corrections and Rehabilitation website.
