Touching photo shows police deputy praying with kids before working night shift

SHELBY. N.C. — A photo of a deputy praying with his children before the night shift is going viral.

A March 24 photo shared by the Cleveland County Sheriff’s Office shows Deputy Jordan Perkins sitting inside a car with this two young children, Miya, 3, and Mason, 1.

The kids are sitting on their dad’s lap with their hands clasped in prayer.

"Proud to have this deputy and his family a part of the Cleveland County Sheriff's Office," the Cleveland County Sheriff's Office wrote on Facebook.

The photo has been shared over 4,000 times.

"Miya prays for God to protect her dad and keep the bad men away and bring him home safely," Kelsie Perkins, Jordan Perkins' wife, told ABC News.
