BOSTON — One of Boston’s best-known restaurants that boasts a stunning view of the city will close its doors this spring.

The Top of the Hub and Skywalk Observatory on the 52nd floor of the Prudential Center are set to shut down in April after 54 years in business.

A statement from the company that operates the venues said the owner of the Pru chose not to give them a new lease.

The Boston Globe reports the landlords are going to upgrade the observation deck for the Instagram age and add amenities, which may include food.

So far, they have not said when they plan to reopen.
