ATTLEBORO, Mass. — A tire flew off a North Attleboro DPW truck Wednesday, smashing into a nearby home.
It happened around noon at 30 South St. in Plainville. The tire smashed into a window of the home, and then bounced into the yard. Homeowner Gil Bagley said he had been in the garden just an hour before it happened.
"All of a sudden we heard a big crash. Come in the bedroom and saw glass there and everything tipped over," he said.
The DPW said the truck was carrying asphalt and they believe a wheel bearing froze up.
Fortunately, no one was injured.
